Description
- These earrings are handcrafted from:
Handmade “dinna fash” art glass cabochon charms,*
Sterling silver plated French hook ear wires. - Earring drop approximately 1 1/12 inches/ 3.81 cm
When researching the history and use of “dinna fash” I learned that it means “don’t worry”. The use of this word in Scots have been recorded as early as the sixteenth century, and appears to have originated from the medieval French verb ‘fascher.’ According to what I read it’s not as common as some other Scottish words and phrases but is still used occasionally.
When you wear this pendant, may you not worry and have joy as you travel through your day.
“Keep calm and dinna fash.”
-Scottish saying
(*Glass cabochon charms are water resistant but not waterproof, make sure you don’t immerse the earrings in water!)
