When researching the history and use of “dinna fash” I learned that it means “don’t worry”. Uses of the word in Scots have been recorded as early as the sixteenth century, and appears to have originated from the medieval French verb ‘fascher.’ According to what I read it’s not as common as some other Scottish words and phrases but is still used occasionally.
When you wear this pendant, may you not worry and have joy as you travel through your day.
“Dinna fash, Sassenach.”
