While Downton Abbey took place a little bit after the end of the Edwardian Era, I always felt like the costuming of the first season was a carryover from that time period, thus pieces like these earrings came out of my love of that time period and the show.

The Edwardian times were often referred to as the golden age when the lives of the rich revolved around social parties and banquets. The Edwardian era lasted only nine years and yet it was an age of social change and political and intellectual brilliance.
