  Black and red vintage-style rose cameos,
  Iridescent red-orange Swarovski bicones,
  Sterling silver plated French hook ear-wires
• Approx. 1 1/2 inch/3.81 cm drop.

I have always loved cameos, and believe it or not, it wasn’t until I started studying the history of jewelry that I learned that cameos have many other things on their design besides the beautiful woman. Genuine hand-carved abalone cameos are not easy to come by these days, so I am always on the lookout for something that could pass as a stunning faux. They are matte resin of black and crimson red and are surprisingly lightweight. The colors are very vivid and the rose almost looks real enough to smell delicious.  Add in the fire of the Swarovski beads and the earrings are quite gorgeous.
