• The earrings are handcrafted from:
  Hand-strung Swarovski seafoam green pearls,
  Gold plated stud earrings.
• Necklace measures approx. 22 inches/56 cm with a 1-inch extender.  The cameo is approx. 2 inches. Earrings measure approx. 2 inch/ 5 cm drop.

Cameos have always fascinated me, with their classic silhouette of a mysterious beautiful lady. I think it’s the early influence of my grandmother who was a collector of fine jewelry.

Authentic hand-carved abalone cameos are not easy to come by these days and are usually very expensive.  Cameo jewelry is iconic and the earliest examples date back to the 3rd century BC. Because they have been so popular throughout different eras, many people have a cameo that they have inherited which is typically made out of shell, coral, or stone.

When I stumbled across this lovely ladies, although she isn’t abalone, I thought she was a stunning faux, quite resembling real abalone cameos. I hope you love them as much as I do!
